“There’s nowhere to go…”

Sellers want to sell, buyers want to buy but as home prices in the Bay Area continue to rise, there are actually very few transactions taking place. Sales fell 21 percent in January over the previous year.

To complicate matters, new home building has stalled with just 341 new homes sold in the Bay Area in January.

Analysts are hopeful that the spring will see more homes on the market but with the pandemic, inflation, and world events taking center stage, it’s impossible to predict.
