Housing inventory increases everywhere

Just in time for summer, we have the housing market spring rush. The latest housing report shows that new homes on the market increased by 6.3% year over year in June. The total m\number of listings (including June and older) was 36.7% higher than June of last year.

And the number of homes for sale grew across all four regions of the United States. Not surprisingly, the South led with an increase of 48.9% bu the other sections were strong as well: West (35.8%), Midwest (21.5%), and Northeast (12.5%).

However, it is important to remember that the number of homes for sale was still lower than before the pandemic in all four regions.

But the trend is positive.
