Although not quite as prevalent as during the days of the COVID-19 pandemic, cash sales account for nearly 33% of all home sales. The attractiveness of a cash sale to a seller is obvious: avoiding appraisal and financial considerations makes for a much quicker close.
Interestingly, cash sales are much common at the low and high end of the real estate market. Two-thirds of properties sold under $100,000 and 40% of hoes valued at over $1 million were paid for in cash.
Nationally, Miami at 43% led the United States in all-cash sales at 43%.
