Bay Area projected price drops

Zillow is projecting that two metro areas in the Bay Area will be among the biggest price drops in the country come November 2024. Zillow believes that San José will see a 6.1% price drop (from $1.46 million to $1.37 million) while San Francisco will rank third with a drop of 4.8%.

New Orleans is seen as having the second highest percentage decline at 6%.

Of course, San José and San Francisco have two of the highest home values in the U.S. so their percentage price declines hardly makes them “affordable” to the average home buyer.
