According to the California Association of Realtors, Bay Area homes were down in July (2025) by 4% over last year. The median price remained steady at $1.3 million over the nine counties.
Contra Costa County had a median price of $862,500, Alameda County was at $1.25 million, $1.9 million in Santa Clara County, $2.1 million in San Mateo County, and $1.6 million in San Francisco.
Houses are remaining on the market significantly longer – 24 days as opposed to 16 days last year.
Likewise, condos are on sitting on the market for a median of 34 days compared to 24 days last July.
