The latest statistics show that 11.3 million out of the U.S. 82.9 million homes are uninsured. According to the U.S. Census Bureau data home insurance costs rose 33% from 2020 to 2023 to $2,530 annually on average.
New Mexico currently has the highest rate of uninsured homes at 23.3% while New Hampshire has the lowest rate at 9.2%.
